 I somehow believed that from 20th May it would become lovely English summer. I probably wished so hard because 20th May was my birthday. And it has been lovely since! My favourite yellow field is brighter with the sun shinning. 理由もなく、5月20日からは素晴らしいイングリッシュサマーのお天気になると信じていました。 5月20日は私の誕生日でもあるので、信じていたというよりは、願っていたのです・・・。 でも、ほら！20日過ぎからは素晴らしいお天気です。 私の大好きな黄色いフィールドは太陽の光でより輝いて見えます。 Just remembered... Our customer told me that Japanese travel agents started to take tour bus to yellow rape flower field. You can see plenty of bright yellow field everywhere we go. Come on board!! 今思い出しました。 私達のお客様が日本のツアー会社が観光バスで黄色い菜の花畑を訪ねるツアーを始めたと。 私達のクルーズする場所は黄色く輝くフィールドに囲まれています。 ボートにおいで～！  Can you see a Heron under the bridge? We were moored near the botton of knowle locks by a pub called Heron's Nest. Here is a Heron by the Heron's Nest! 橋の下に青鷺がいるのが見えますか？ これは、Knowleロックの下にある「青鷺の巣」という名前のパブ近くに係留した時の写真です。 青鷺の巣で青鷺を発見？！ This pub was built around canal time, 1816. It was called Blue Boar, then renamed to Kings Arms, and so on. As the land lord changed the pub was called different names. Now it is called Heron's Nest. このパブは運河時代の1816に建てられました。そのころは「ブルーボア」ボアは猪の事ですが、何故ブルーかは知りません。それからキングスアームと改名され、オーナーが変わると名前も変わりました。 そして今はHeron's Nestとなったわけです。  When the Sun comes out, Rape field seems brighter. I can't help myself smiling when I see yellow field by the canal. 太陽が顔を出すと、菜の花畑が輝いて見えます。 運河の横に黄色いフィールドが見えると何故かスマイルしてしまいます。   Before the river Avon flooded, we had a little cruise around Evesham. エイボン川が洪水で航行不可になる前にイヴシャム近辺をクルーズしました。 This triangle house used to be a lock keeper's house untill it was badly flooded in 2007. This was an icon for Evesham lock during the time upper Avon and Lower Avon was separated. Now the upper and lower was in joined, therefore the lock keeper is not needed, so this building will be taken down in near future. 三角の家は2007年に大洪水でダメージを受ける前まではロックキーパーの家でした。エイボン川が上流と下流で分かれていた頃はイヴシャムのアイコンとも言える存在だったのですが、上流と下流が合併されてから、ロックキーパーは必要なくなった為、この家も近々取り壊される予定です。 When we were at this Evesham Lock, I found an Canadian geese's nest! There soon will be little goslings swimming around this lock. このイヴシャムロックに来たとき、カナダ雁の巣を見つけました。 もう直ぐかわいい赤ちゃんが水門の周りを泳ぎ出すことでしょう。  After blacking the bottom of our boat, we had a little cruise to re-position the boat. On this day we had a shower. It's not really a nice day for boating, but we had a beautiful rainbow. 船底の塗り換えの後、ボートを予定の場所に動かすべく、私達だけでクルーズしました。 この日はシャワー、ボート日よりではありませんが、きれいな虹がかかりました。
Our car was taken to scrap dealer the other day. It had been misfiring for a while, and car mechanic said that it would cost us more than the car worth. So we finally made a decision. 先日、私達の車が廃車となりました。 前からﾌﾟｽﾌﾟｽとエンジンの調子が悪かったのですが、整備士によると車の価値よりも修理代の方がかかると言われて、最終的に廃車を決断をしました。 This is the last moment that Pook and Andy thanking our car for last 5 years. これは、プークとアンディが車に5年間のありがとうを伝えている最後のひと時。   Then our car was taken by car scrap dealer. そして廃車専門業者が車をもっていったのでした。  Bye Bye, our car. バイバイ、私達の車。 
Boating Season usually starts around Easter time. Yes, We are on the cut(Canal)! ボートシーズンはイースター頃から始まります。 Yes, 私達もCut（ボーター用語で運河のこと）にいます！ Early spring morning usually starts with a morning mist like this. この時期、朝はだいたい霧で始まります。  Gliding on the water in an icy air, cruising in the mist has a bit of mysterious feel to it. 霧の中のクルーズはヒンヤリとした空気の中を滑っていく、ちょっとミステリアスなクルーズ。  About 10am, the morning mist start to lift. 10時ごろになると、霧が少しずつ上がっていきます。 
Wow, time flies. I haven't done blog since 11th! 時間の経つのは早いものです。 ブログを11日以来更新していませんでした。 I had a sudden visitors on our boat. My sister and nice came to England with only 3days notice, and they stayed on board for 6 nights they flown away back to Japan. この間、突然の訪問者がありました。 私の姉と姪がイギリスに来たのですが、連絡してきたのは訪問の3日前、6泊して再び日本に飛んで行ってしまいました。 We had so many maintenance and private appointments just before our boating season starts, so we had to rearrange everything. But it is always nice that family member make an effort, all the way to come and see me in the UK. ボートシーズン前のメンテナンスやその他の予定も忙しく入っていましたが、全てを変更しなくてはいけませんでした。でも家族が日本からイギリスまで訪ねてきてくれるというものは本当に嬉しいものです。 Here are some photos up dating our days since 11th Mar. 3月11日以降に撮った写真です。 Pook's Grooming Day before the season ボートシーズン前のプークの美容室  Took my sister and nice to Cotswolds 姉と姪をコッツウォルズへご案内  We went on a Steam train trip, Pook could go too! 蒸気機関車にも乗りました。プークも乗せてくれました！   Back to maintenance work after they went back to Japan. 姉と姪が日本に戻った後は、メンテナンス作業に戻りました・・・。 
March 11 is the day I can not forget for the rest of my life. Too many things and thoughts comes in my mind, I can not put in to words. I guess many Japanese people feel the same. 3月11日はこれから一生忘れる事の出来ない日です。 あまりにもいろいろな思いが込み上げて、言葉になりません。 きっと多くの日本の皆さんも同じ気持ちだと思います。 I pray for the people who have died in the earthquake and Tsunami, rest in peace. 震災で亡くなられた方のご冥福を心よりお祈りいたします。
